List of Pools on the LaHave and St Mary's Rivers closed to all forms of angling

The Regional Director-General, Maritimes Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans wishes to advise that effective June 15, 2011 until October 31, 2011 the following waters of LaHave River, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, and that effective June 21, 2011 until October 1, 2011 the following waters of St. Marys River, Guysborough County, Nova Scotia, are closed to angling for any species of fish by any method.

Please Note – Angling for Atlantic Salmon in Areas 19 is not permitted with the exception of the Middle, Baddeck, North and North Aspy Rivers. Angling for Atlantic Salmon is not permitted in Areas 20, 21 and 22.

The Nova Scotia Salmon Association is one of seven Regional Councils of the Atlantic Salmon Federation. Our mission is to further in all ways possible the conservation and wise management of all indigenous salmonid species in the rivers and waterways of Nova Scotia, which include Atlantic Salmon and Trout.
